Completed SCIF Projects

Far West Contractors has completed numerous Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) and Special Access Program Facility (SAPF) projects for aerospace, defense and government clients across Southern California. Our completed SCIF projects range from single-office modifications of about 200 square feet to 45,000-square-foot building upgrades built to current ICS-705 / ICD 705 and TEMPEST requirements.

Because of the sensitive nature of this work, we cannot publish photographs, floor plans or locations of the SCIFs we have built. What we can share is the scope of secure facility construction we have delivered, the standards those facilities were accredited against, and the clients who trust us with their most secure spaces.

• Single-office SCIF modifications and closed-storage secure rooms
• Multi-room SCIF and SAPF/SAR suites for special access programs
• Whole-building and multi-floor secure facility upgrades up to 45,000 square feet
• Secure conference, briefing and presentation rooms with STC-rated perimeter walls and door assemblies
• Secure IT and communications spaces supporting DCID 6/3 and JAFAN 6/3 information technology requirements
• Shielded (EMI/RFI) and TEMPEST-rated construction where required by the accrediting agency
• Retrofits of existing commercial office space into accredited SCIF and secure working areas

Standards Our Completed SCIFs Meet

Every SCIF and SAPF we build is designed and constructed to meet or exceed the governing directives for the end user, including ICD 705 / ICS-705 physical security standards, DCID 6/9 and JAFAN 6/9 physical construction requirements, STC 45 and STC 55 sound attenuation for perimeter walls and doors, security hardware per federal specification FF-L-2740A, and any additional site-specific government agency directives. We provide site surveys, conceptual estimating, design and engineering management, construction, sound transmission documentation and construction management through accreditation.
